Kate Middleton and Prince William Have a Secret Third Home

Kate Middleton and Prince William, known for their roles as the Prince and Princess of Wales, reside at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, England, along with their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The family moved into this charming cottage in 2022, but it is just one of three properties in their real estate portfolio.

In addition to Adelaide Cottage, they own Anmer Hall, located on the Sandringham estate, which serves as their preferred vacation home, especially during the holidays. Interestingly, they also have a third, lesser-known property that they’ve owned for over a decade, maintaining a level of privacy around it.

Recently, Kate and William enjoyed a romantic weekend getaway to Balmoral Estate in Scotland, leaving their children in the care of Kate’s parents, the Middletons. This trip came shortly after Kate made her first public appearance since completing chemotherapy, attending a Sunday church service with King Charles and Queen Camilla. While at Balmoral, they chose to stay in a private cottage known as Tam na Ghar rather than the grand Balmoral Castle.

Tam na Ghar is a rustic three-bedroom cottage on the vast 50,000-acre estate and holds sentimental value for Prince William, as it was a gift from his late great-grandmother, the Queen Mother, in 2002. Over the years, the family has kept this property relatively private, with no official photos of the interior ever released, and even images of the exterior are rare, adding to its mystique.

Despite the smaller size of Tam na Ghar, the couple appears content with its modesty. They enjoy their primary residence at Adelaide Cottage, which, while compact with only four bedrooms, offers strategic advantages. Its location provides a sense of intimacy and proximity to the children’s school, Lambrook School.

There have been rumors suggesting that they considered relocating to the much larger Royal Lodge, currently occupied by Prince Andrew, which would offer them significantly more space. However, it seems that for now, Kate and William prefer to remain at Adelaide Cottage, valuing its closeness to school and maintaining a familiar routine for their children.

The Berkshire countryside provides a peaceful environment that complements their desire for privacy, making it an ideal place for the family to grow and thrive without the overwhelming attention that larger royal residences might attract.

Ultimately, Kate and William have curated a comfortable lifestyle that balances royal duties with family life, whether enjoying the tranquility of their Balmoral cottage, spending holidays at Anmer Hall, or managing daily routines at Adelaide Cottage. Their approach to living reflects their values of privacy, family, and a simpler royal life, allowing them to navigate their roles while fostering a nurturing environment for their children.
