Prince William and his eldest son, Prince George, share an extraordinary bond that extends beyond their royal destinies. Both are future Kings of England, and their physical resemblance often leaves many thinking they could be twins. However, while they share countless similarities, there is one key difference between them: the hand they use to write.

Prince William is one of the few left-handed members of the family, joining others like his aunt, the Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie, who has been seen writing with her left hand on multiple occasions. Historically, King George VI, William’s great-grandfather, was also naturally left-handed but was trained to write with his right hand, though he played sports with his left. Just like William, who has a history in aviation, George reportedly took his first flying lesson at the age of 11. This flying lesson took place at White Waltham Airfield in Maidenhead during his school summer holidays, with his parents watching proudly from the ground.
Despite their royal status, William has worked hard to give George a less duty-bound upbringing than he experienced. In contrast to the more rigid childhood William endured in the public eye during the 1980s and 1990s, George enjoys a more relaxed and private experience, though still filled with moments of royal tradition and responsibility.

Last month, George joined his father at the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium, where they handed out medals to Manchester United and Manchester City players. William, the patron of the Welsh Rugby Union, has introduced George to the sport, and they enjoyed the match from the presidential box, meeting prominent figures like Sir Bill Beaumont, the chairman of World Rugby.
