King Charles taking doctors aorders breaking his old rule and now eating launch with family

King Charles III has long been known for his commitment to healthy eating, especially his preference for organic foods. Over the years, he has adhered to a particular dietary routine, which has evolved since his cancer diagnosis earlier this year. Previously, Charles followed a unique regimen where he skipped lunch and only had a light breakfast followed by a single main meal in the evening. This choice stemmed from his belief that lunch was an unnecessary luxury given his busy schedule.

Julian Payne, his former press secretary, shared insights into this practice, noting that when traveling with the King, it was vital to either have a hearty breakfast or bring snacks, as Charles did not break for lunch. His mornings often began with a healthy breakfast consisting of seasonal fruit salad, seeds, and tea. However, following medical advice after his cancer diagnosis, he has reluctantly introduced a small midday meal. His preferred lunch now consists of half an avocado, considered one of the healthiest snacks, to sustain him through the day.

Charles’ focus on organic and healthy food extends beyond his personal habits. For many years, he has avoided meat and fish two days a week and cut out dairy on another day to promote sustainability and health. His commitment to organic farming goes back to the early 1980s when he chose to farm his Gloucestershire estate using environmentally friendly methods. His advocacy for organic farming and eco-friendly practices has been a core part of his environmental mission, which he continues to champion.

Charles has often spoken about the urgent need for sustainable farming. In a speech at the Soil Association’s 70th anniversary in 2017, he warned that conventional farming practices could lead to severe environmental damage, including the permanent destruction of farmlands. He called for a widespread shift towards organic principles, citing their potential to play a significant role in addressing environmental challenges. His personal farming practices, rooted in these values, have helped to make him a notable advocate for sustainability.

Despite these efforts, King Charles remains aware of the challenges facing organic farming. While the organic market has grown, it remains relatively small compared to conventional production methods, which continue to dominate. Nevertheless, Charles’ dedication to organic principles and sustainable farming reflects his lifelong concern for the environment and his desire to leave a positive legacy in this field.

Charles’ healthy eating habits and passion for organic farming are also intertwined with his belief in holistic health, incorporating both traditional and alternative remedies—something that has influenced his approach to managing his own health challenges.
