Prince William’s ‘difficult’ moment with Prince Harry was handled with ‘finesse’

A royal expert has claimed that Prince William has only become stronger this year as he prepares to one day be King.

Prince William handled a difficult time with Prince Harry with “finesse”, according to a royal expert, as the heir to the throne stepped up to the plate following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

On September 8, 2022 the Royal Family gathered at Balmoral to say goodbye to the late monarch, with Prince Harry also travelling over from the United States.

It was initially reported that Meghan Markle would be going with him, however it was later revealed that she “changed her mind” after learning that Princess Kate would not be going.

Editor of Majesty magazine, Ingrid Seward, recalled how William handled the day to The Mirror: “Even at that emotional moment, Kate was unable to be at his side. It was their kids’ first day at a new school and she correctly felt she had to support them.

“There was also the problem with Prince Harry whose wife Meghan felt if Kate was at the Queen’s Balmoral home she should be allowed there too. William handled the whole difficult day with finesse.”

Ms Seward added how the last couple of years have helped to forge an even stronger bond between William and his father, King Charles, as the loss of the Queen had “brought them closer”.

She said: “The traumas of the past year have made [William] a stronger person. He has become the kind of man Diana always hoped he would be. Kind, considerate and able to take on whatever life throws at him.”

This year has been a trying one for the royals as both King Charles and Princess Kate have taken time off from the spotlight due to being treated for cancer.

The royal commentator said of the Prince’s personality: “William is sensitive, he likes structure and has perseverance. He does not give up easily.

“His relationship with brother Harry upset him more than he would care to admit. But he found it easier to cut ties rather than allow himself to be continually annoyed. His life with Kate gives him the security, love and friendship he needs.”

The Princess of Wales recently made a return to the public eye with her appearance at Trooping the Colour on June 15, with many speculating whether she will attend her beloved Wimbledon later this summer.

All England Club chair Debbie Jevans told Telegraph Sport that if Kate does wish to travel to Wimbledon, they will give her “as much flexibility as possible”.

Ms Jevans told the publication: “We’re hopeful that the Princess of Wales will be able to present the trophies as the Club’s patron, but her health and recovery is the priority.”

Royal commentator Emily Andrews added: “Her treatment is ongoing, and will be for the next few months, but I understand she would like to visit the Wimbledon tennis tournament – she is a patron – if she feels up to it.”
