Meghan Markle ‘wants to make peace with Princess Kate’ as Duchess of Sussex has ‘regrets’

Meghan Markle “wants to make peace with Princess Kate” as the Duchess of Sussex has “regrets”, according to royal insiders.

The wives of Prince William and Prince Harry last saw each other in 2022 at Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as working royals in 2020 and subsequently settled in Montecito, California.

Since stepping back from royal life, Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, have made several comments about the Prince and Princess of Wales that could be taken negatively.

Kate and Meghan Markle have not seen each other in two years

For instance, the duchess told Oprah Winfrey in 2021 during an explosive interview that Kate “made her cry” following an argument over bridesmaid dresses.

In the Sussexes’ Netflix docuseries from 2022, Meghan implied that the Waleses’ were not big huggers and were “formal” behind the scenes, which “surprised” the duchess.

However, in recent years, tensions between the two women have seemingly mellowed.

In March this year, the Princess of Wales announced she had begun a course of preventative chemotherapy.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex responded with a public statement which read: “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.”

A source told In Touch that Meghan is ready to reconcile with Kate.

They said: “She wants to make peace with Kate. She doesn’t want any bad blood between them.

“Meghan’s friends say she regrets how things went down and she never meant any harm to Kate.
