Get the Princess Kate look with her stunning Wimbledon outfit choice

Princess Kate’s Safiyaa purple dress is beautiful but there are cheaper high street alternatives that won’t break the bank.

Princess Kate has made her return to Wimbledon accompanied by her daughter Princess Charlotte and her younger sister Pippa Middleton.

It is only the second time the Princess has made a public appearance this year after she attended Trooping the Colour last month, as she has been undergoing cancer treatment.

Kate is known for sporting bright colours and mid-length summery dresses for the tennis tournament and this year was no exception, as she sported a purple outfit by the designer Safiyaa.

The frock seemed to be a bespoke version of the brand’s ‘Cecelia’ dress, which she accessorised with a pair of gold earrings and a £225 L.K.Bennett handbag.

The Cecelia is currently being sold for £1,295, but fortunately for those not in possession of a royal fortune there are cheaper alternatives available on the high street.

John Lewis is stocking a range of dresses that can help a royal fan get the Kate look, with one gown by Ro&Zo now reduced from £159 to £85.

The Allegra purple crepe midi dress is not only in a similar hue, but also features wrap-over neckline detail and is Kate’s favourite mid-length.

Charlotte wore another summery dress in blue polka dots to watch the final this year, while Pippa donned a floral outfit for their girls’ day out at the tennis, with Prince George not joining them as had been expected.

Prince William meanwhile is travelling to Berlin for the final of Euro 2024 to watch England play Spain, and there is speculation that George could go with him.

Kate is patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club and will hand out the winners’ trophy to whoever is victorious this afternoon, but she has been a keen tennis fan for most of her life.

She is good friends with former Wimbledon champion Roger Federer, who joined her last year to watch a game, but she sadly had to miss a particularly historic moment for British tennis.

The Princess was unable to watch the action live in 2013 when Andy Murray won his first Wimbledon title, as she was heavily pregnant with George at the time.
