Catherine RELEASES FIRST Heartfelt Words In Latest Announcement, Marking Her Major Return

Just days after making her second public appearance of the year at Wimbledon while undergoing cancer treatment, the Princess of Wales issued a message today celebrating the launch of two new gardens at the Natural History Museum in London, where she serves as the Royal Patron. In a message on Kensington Palace’s Instagram stories, she said:

“I am hugely supportive of the Museum’s commitment to create a special space which encourages people of all ages to reconnect with nature and learn more about how we can protect our natural world. I know the power of nature to support our development and well-being, both by bringing us joy and helping to keep us physically, mentally, and spiritually healthy. I hope these gardens will be inspiring and transformative for the thousands of people who visit.”

Catherine recently nodded to her personal connection with nature in a new photo released along with a personal message on June 14, where she shared her first health update since announcing her cancer diagnosis. The solo snap by photographer Matt Porteous was taken in Windsor, showing the princess dressed casually in jeans with her arms folded as she posed outdoors against a tree. A keen beekeeper, the Princess of Wales was pictured tending to her beehive in Norfolk in an image released in 2023 to mark World Bee Day. She also brought along a homemade jar of honey made by her own bees at Anmer Hall for the children to try.

Her patronage of the Natural History Museum was announced in 2013. At the time, the palace said the role reflected her interest in the natural world, and the museum has become a favorite place to visit with her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The devoted princess carries out hundreds of official engagements each year while parenting the trio. When their eldest child was born in 2013, Catherine and William were initially against hiring additional help. However, as the pressure of royal commitments continued to mount, the Cambridges decided to hire a permanent nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, who had trained at Norland College.

Catherine opened up to the late Queen and admitted that she found it difficult to balance her time between charity work and motherhood. She explained that she wanted to be a hands-on parent, so initially held off from hiring a nanny. Despite their good intentions, the couple soon realized they couldn’t manage their royal duties and also care full-time for their child. While they didn’t have the initial help of a nanny, one family member who stepped up was the princess’s mother. Reports credit Carole Middleton as being a significant help for the family of five. “Mommy and Daddy Middleton are absolutely crucial to this story, going right back 10 years and all through the courtship. Carole is very involved in the upbringing of George and looking after her eldest daughter when she was ill with extreme morning sickness. She turns up to help with bedtime and bath time. She is absolutely indispensable.”

For many weeks, the princess was at home in Berkshire with her mom and dad, and Grandma Middleton was taking up the strain. Prince William has made no secret of his adoration for his in-laws and credits them for welcoming him into their family. It is thought that the Middletons’ close family bond was refreshing for him after his rather detached and tragic childhood.

As King Charles continues his cancer treatment, William and Catherine’s focus on family becomes even more significant. Their decision to stay close to home and support each other highlights their dedication to their roles as parents and future monarchs during this pivotal period. The Prince and Princess of Wales are showcasing a blend of duty and devotion, setting a new standard for the future of the monarchy. Their commitment to their family and each other is a testament to the values they hold dear and the legacy they aim to build.

Catherine’s decision to step back from royal engagements underscores her commitment to her family during this challenging time. Royal biographer Robert Lacey noted, “William mostly enjoys being at home with his family and not being surrounded by staff and household. This family-first approach sets William and Catherine apart from other royals.” Lacey emphasized that the couple wants to maintain a strong family core before the inevitable burden of state comes their way.
