Prince George is set to follow in Prince William’s footsteps when he becomes the Prince of Wales.

Prince George will one day rule The Nansledan Estate, which is based in Cornwall, when he takes over the title as the Prince of Wales.

The young royal, who is celebrating his 11th birthday today, is currently second in line to the throne – but will take on the Prince of Wales one day before eventually becoming King.

The 135,000-acre Nansledan Estate is currently run by The Duchy of Cornwall – which in turn belongs to Prince William.

The Duchy of Cornwall, which was launched in 1337 by King Edward III, is an expansive private estate set amidst hundreds of lush acres of land.

As royal charter, the estate is traditionally owned by the monarch’s eldest surviving son – which will one day be 11-year-old.

The Nansledan Estate is also known for having a vibrant party scene, although it is part of the Duchy of Cornwall.

Due to this, Newquay is regularly known for its party scene, with many people often hosting hen and stag parties in the area.

In 2018, it was crowned as the seventh most popular location for stag dos by CornwallLive.

The upscale estates also boast a few non-negotiable elements, such as having no visible laundry lines or bins.

As an asset of the Duchy of Cornwall, William now counts for several properties in the town.

Back in 2019, upon reflecting on this future role, William told an ITV’s documentary: “I’ve started to think about how I will inherit the Duchy one day and what I do with it. I think it’s really important, about the family angle, I really do.”

To previously prepare William for the role, King Charles worked side-by-side his eldest son at the start.

In response to William’s remarks, the King revealed that he was “deeply touched” by William’s comment.
