Prince Harry and Meghan spotted giving Kate Middleton support during her second Cancer surgery

The strained relationship between Prince Harry and Prince William has also affected Prince William’s relationship with Kate Middleton. Harry is grieving the loss of the friendship he used to have with his sister-in-law, likening it to the pain he felt when his mother, Princess Diana, passed away.

Harry is torn between loyalty to his wife and regret over the loss of the woman he was once so close to and truly misses. After losing his mother, Kate was Harry’s second great loss, according to royal author Tom Quinn, as told to The Mirror. On the other hand, Meghan Markle doesn’t feel as strongly about her relationship with Kate Middleton. Quinn explained that Markle believed their shared non-royal backgrounds would unite them during her personal difficulties. “Meghan doesn’t feel guilty about Kate because she feels that Kate should have been the one person in the royal family to support her against every difficulty,” Quinn said. “Aside from whatever else, Meghan realized Kate was untouchable, so she just couldn’t comprehend why Kate always towed the royal line instead of supporting her, Meghan, the other outsider.”

At the moment, it seems unlikely that Markle and the Princess of Wales will come to terms. While the American former actress wants to mend things and is concerned about Middleton’s cancer diagnosis, she reportedly believes Middleton should apologize first. Their fracture originates from an incident involving Princess Charlotte’s dress for the Sussex’s wedding. Markle also believes that given Middleton’s current health issues, the timing seems off. “Meghan can’t see any way to patch up the relationship simply because it has become so toxic,” Quinn stated. “Kate’s cancer diagnosis has been a real shock for Meghan. She also does not want it to be implied that she is attempting to reconcile with Kate solely because she is ill. Before they attempt to build bridges, Meghan still believes Kate should apologize for her actions.”

Harry can’t help but wish he could go back in time and make things right, even though Markle is a bit more determined in her feelings toward Middleton. Shocking news like Kate’s cancer diagnosis puts things into perspective, and Harry isn’t immune to being filled with regrets and ‘what ifs.’ Royal biographer Duncan Larcombe said for the Daily Express, “Kate was like the sister Harry never had, and he probably feels a lot of regret over the way his relationship with William and Kate fell apart so dramatically.”

In contrast to his brother Prince William, who was presented with a ceremonial bell concert at Westminster Abbey in accordance with royal tradition, Prince Harry, who is about to turn 40, will receive a significant payout due to arrangements made by his great-grandmother, the Queen Mother. According to The Times, the late Queen Mother put £70 million into a trust fund for her family, with one condition being that Harry could access his portion of the trust when he turned 40. However, according to The Mirror, Harry will receive more than his brother because everything is not distributed equally. The publication’s reporter stated, “William will benefit from the vast wealth of the Duchy of Cornwall, a private estate that funds the King’s public, charitable, and private activities. Therefore, Harry is probably going to get slightly more than half of the £14 million that was given to the brothers.”

Harry’s payout, estimated at over £7 million, will add to the income he and Meghan Markle have earned from their Netflix documentary series and other ventures, such as Markle’s podcast. The couple’s net worth is estimated to be around $60 million. They no longer receive the traditional bell ceremony or birthday posts on the royal social media accounts after Harry and Meghan left their positions as senior royals. People Magazine notes that now, only a few firm members get the honor, including Prince William, Princess Catherine, King Charles, and Queen Camilla. Charles has the unique privilege of receiving two bell ceremonies each year: one on his actual birthday, November 14th, and one during the celebration of his birthday at the Trooping the Colour ceremony.
