As King Charles III and the Princess of Wales continue their cancer battles, thousands of supporters have sent a staggering number of encouraging letters recently.

The duo, father and daughter, say that they have been profoundly shocked to hear of a horror mass stabbing in Southport, Merseyside. The incident has left six other children in critical condition, along with two adults. Nine other children also sustained injuries.

The youngsters had been taking part in a sold-out Taylor Swift dance class in town when the attack was launched. Merseyside police have arrested a

17-year-old boy on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. A fast-paced police investigation is now underway, with Chief Constable Serena Kennedy confirming there is no confirmed motive at this stage, but officers do not believe the attack was terror-related.

William and Katherine said, “As parents, we cannot begin to imagine what the families, friends, and loved ones of those killed and injured in Southport today are going through. We send our love, thoughts, and prayers to all those involved in this horrid and heinous attack.” The royal couple also thanked emergency responders, saying, “Thank you also to the emergency responders who, despite being met with the most horrific scenes, demonstrated compassion and professionalism when your community needed you most.”
