Prince William reveals Kate Middleton is back in the theater for another operation

When greeting the general public, Prince William has continued to provide positive information regarding Catherine’s cancer treatment.

Catherine, who confirmed in March that she has cancer and is undergoing preventative chemotherapy to treat the unidentified form of the disease, received another encouraging but vague health update from the heir apparent to the British throne.

Second Great War veterans from across the US, England, and Canada are in Normandy this week to commemorate the D-Day arrivals that helped lead to Hitler’s defeat. A veteran asked William if his wife was getting any better while she was being treated, in a video recorded at the D-Day anniversary service in France to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings. William and his father, King Charles III, attended a series of events with world leaders and veterans. Prince William paid his respects to Canadian veterans for their extraordinary acts of bravery and sacrifice at the Canadian commemorative ceremony held at Juno Beach.

The prince flew alone to Chester Cathedral, about four hours outside of London, on Friday for the high-society wedding of his close friend Hugh Grosvenor, Duke of Westminster, and Olivia Henson. According to the Associated Press, William was one of Grosvenor’s ushers, a godfather to William’s eldest son, Prince George, and one of the richest people in the United Kingdom.

Following his return to royal duties in April and weeks after his previous update on his wife’s illness, the Prince of Wales made the most recent remarks about Catherine. “All getting along nicely, thank you,” William said in late April at the opening of the James’ Place in Newcastle, where he was asked how his significant other and three kids are faring. “Everyone is doing well.”

The official spokesperson for the Wales family, Kensington Palace, has made few public statements regarding the princess other than to state that she is in good spirits and focused on making a full recovery. The palace stated that once her doctors grant her permission, she will resume her royal duties.

Vanity Fair reported at the end of May that the princess had made a turn for the better, that she now tolerates the medications, and is actually doing much better. The story, which referred to an anonymous family companion, came after reports that Catherine had been seen out with her family, as well as bits of hearsay that she wouldn’t get back to her royal obligations until the following year. “There is no course of events and there is surely no rush. When Catherine feels ready and receives permission from her medical team, that will be the time. However, she will 100% be returning to work, of that there is no doubt,” a source told the magazine.

In addition, the report stated that Katherine has ceased all work-related responsibilities during her treatment but continues to be informed of significant developments in public service projects. Vanity Fair was informed by a Kensington Palace spokesperson that the updates should not be interpreted as evidence that she is returning to her job.

Since Christmas Day, the princess has not attended any royal engagements in public. A few weeks later, Kensington Palace announced that major abdominal surgery in London in January would be performed on her. When the palace published a photo of Catherine that had been altered on Mother’s Day in the United Kingdom in March, widespread speculation about her health and well-being grew. The princess’s cancer diagnosis seemed to come in response to serious public pressure on the English royal family. Like her father-in-law, King Charles III, she is being treated for an undisclosed type of malignant growth.

The former Kate Middleton claimed that she waited to tell the public the news so that she could first tell her young children. Catherine, a commoner from the upper middle class who married into the British royal family in 2011, has had a remarkable journey.
