Prince William begging Kate Middleton not to leave as she starts packing his languages

Kate Middleton and Prince William were captured in a vehicle leaving Windsor Palace earlier today. The Princess was heading to a private appointment, while the Prince of Wales was on his way to Westminster Abbey for the Commonwealth Day service. Kate has been recovering at their home on The Windsor Castle estate, Adelaide Cottage, since her surgery.

The photo does not show Kate’s face because she is looking out the window while the other royal is seated in the back seat. This marks the first picture of the couple since Kate’s surgery in January and their first public appearance together since Christmas Day.

The paparazzi picture of the Waleses comes just a few hours after Kensington Palace issued a statement from Kate, apologizing for editing a family photo that was released to celebrate UK Mother’s Day. The photo was recalled by numerous agencies due to concerns that it was digitally altered.

“In the same way as other novice photographers, I sometimes experiment with editing,” Kate wrote in a message shared on Kensington Palace’s social media channels. “I want to apologize for any confusion the family photo we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day.”

The palace has not shared the original photo of Kate with her three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

This is the second paparazzi photo taken of the Princess since her surgery in January. UK media did not publish the first picture, which was taken last week and showed her in the front seat of a car driven by her mother, Carole Middleton. However, this latest photo has already appeared in major British tabloids, including the *Daily Mail* and *The Sun*.

Prince William steps out hours after Kate Middleton’s Mother’s Day photo apology. A palace insider downplayed the PR crisis, telling *People* exclusively that although the situation is a temporary obstacle, it’s not a “tremor.”

The insider goes on to say, “Think of the level of scrutiny that people pour over pictures of her. You’re generally in the spotlight and always have to be your best.”

“The challenge now is that because there is so little information about what’s happening with Kate, if they try to project things as normal with a photo that is now considered fake, it is really damning for the struggling and the unfortunate dynamics going on,” the insider says.

Catherine, Princess of Wales; Princess Charlotte of Wales; Prince George of Wales; Prince William, Prince of Wales; Prince Louis of Wales; and Mia Tindall attended the Christmas morning service at Sandringham Church.
