Princess Catherine FIRST RELEASES Emotional Letter For Her Absence Amid Her Battle Against Cancer

In a recent turn of events, it has been announced that the Princess of Wales, Princess Catherine, will be unable to attend the Trooping the Colour ceremony this year. This news has left many royal watchers and fans disappointed, but it has also been met with an outpouring of affection and understanding from the public and the royal family alike.

Today, the Princess of Wales broke her silence amid her cancer treatment, issuing a personally signed letter to the Irish Guards to send her best wishes to the regiment ahead of the Colonel’s Review next weekend. In a moving social media post, the Irish Guards, of whom the Princess is Colonel, shared a video of the heartfelt letter being read out as they watched on. Her emotional note, delivered on monogrammed paper, read:

“I want to write to let you know how proud I am of the entire regiment ahead of the Colonel’s Review and of Trooping the Colour. I appreciate everyone trooping this year has been practicing for months and dedicating many hours to ensure their uniforms and drills are immaculate. Being your Colonel remains a great honor and I’m very sorry that I’m unable to take the salute at this year’s Colonel’s Review. Please pass my apologies to the whole regiment. However, I do hope I can represent you all soon. Please send my very best wishes and good luck to all involved.”

Catherine finished the letter by handwriting the Irish Guards’ motto, “Quis Separabit,” which means “Who shall separate us,” and signed it as “Colonel Catherine.” Her heartfelt message to the public reaffirms her steadfast dedication to her duty, resonating deeply. The Princess’s spirit shines through, inspiring admiration and respect from all who know her courage in the face of adversity.

As Catherine continues her battle with cancer, the whole world watches and waits with bated breath in hopes of a positive outcome and a return to health and happiness for the beloved Princess. The palace has remained steadfast in its support of Catherine’s recovery, and her words received a round of applause from the guards at the conclusion of the letter. The Irish Guards accompanied the moving video with a touching message of their own, writing:

“The Irish Guards were deeply touched to receive a letter from our Colonel, Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales, this morning. We continue to wish Her Royal Highness well in her recovery and send our very best wishes.” They signed off the note with “Quis Separabit,” echoing Princess Catherine’s sentiment.

As Colonel of the Irish Guards, the regiment trooping their colour this year, she traditionally would have taken the salute at the Colonel’s Review, the traditional rehearsal taking place today ahead of the main Trooping the Colour event next week. However, as the Princess continues her recovery following her cancer diagnosis and treatment, it was revealed last week that she would not be attending the event today to take the salute and will instead be replaced by Lieutenant James Bucknall.

Speaking about the upcoming event and whether Princess Catherine could make a brief balcony appearance alongside her husband, Prince William, and their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—royal experts highlighted that while the palace has confirmed Catherine would miss the Colonel’s Review this upcoming Saturday, they hadn’t said anything about a possible outing for Trooping the Colour. This leaves a question mark over whether she might be there.

Palace sources have insisted that the Princess is not expected to return to official duties until given the all-clear by doctors, and any appearances at royal events would be sporadic at best. However, given her emotional note, it seems clear that she will not be in attendance at the Trooping the Colour ceremony. Meanwhile, King Charles, who has been undergoing his own treatments for cancer, will attend his birthday celebration in London next Saturday. As part of the adaptations made to his routine, instead of riding on horseback to inspect the troops, the monarch will travel in an Ascot Landau carriage with Queen Camilla. Palace sources said the alteration to normal proceedings is in keeping with guidance that the King’s working comeback would be carefully reviewed for each engagement.
