Camilla burst in tears as William plans to return to UK after threatening to kick her out of palace

If his new look is any indication, Prince William is clearly enjoying his summer vacation. The Prince of Wales was sporting a laid-back, and according to many royal fans, rather rugged, facial hair in a video praising Team GB, which he and Kate Middleton shared from their family retreat at Anmer Hall.

However, the royal has no time for rest. The prince has already made it clear that he will return to public duties in September, despite the fact that William and the Waleses still have their family vacation to Balmoral to look forward to.

On September 5th, the Prince of Wales returns to work with a bang. Kensington Palace has confirmed that William will lead a tour of the Homewards Charities Exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery. Homelessness art is used in “Reframed” to show the complex realities of homelessness and to inspire hope that it can be eradicated. The prince will meet the UK artists whose works are on display in the exhibition—all of whom either have experienced homelessness or were inspired by the stories of people who have.

Since his 11th birthday, when his mother, Princess Diana, took him to a homeless shelter, the issue has been close to Prince William’s heart. Ending homelessness was a critical part of Diana’s work as a royal, and that mantle has been taken up by her eldest son, who is a patron of various charities addressing the issue.

In leading this show, Prince William is taking another step in his personal fight to end homelessness. It is hoped that this exhibition will provide insight into the breadth of the issue across the UK, offering the general public the chance to better understand the experiences of those who have been homeless.

Homewards is a 5-year initiative that the Prince of Wales established last year in collaboration with the Royal Foundation with the goal of tackling and ending homelessness in the UK. The initiative provides new and improved resources to six locations across the nation to address the problem. If successful, the scheme will be implemented nationwide.

In fact, the concluding section of “Reframed” features doors created by children from all of the Homewards locations, each representing one of the many ways the nation can end homelessness. The Prince of Wales talked about his goals and what he wanted to accomplish when the initiative was launched last year. He said, “In a cutting-edge and modern society, everyone ought to have a safe and secure home, be treated with respect, and be given the help they need.”

He went on to say, “I want to make this a reality through Homewards, and over the next 5 years, I want to give people all over the UK hope that we can prevent homelessness by working together. I am fortunate to have witnessed firsthand the tenacious efforts of individuals and organizations in the sector, the measurable results of their efforts, and the outcomes that can be achieved when communities focus on preventing homelessness rather than managing it. It’s a big job, but I firmly believe that it is possible to make homelessness rare, brief, and never again by working together. I am looking forward to collaborating with our six locations to realize our goal.”

The Prince of Wales’s participation in the nationwide launch of the Homewards campaign will be the subject of a forthcoming documentary that will be released in the fall. It will also follow the journeys of people who are homeless or have experienced it firsthand.

William previously stated to The Sunday Times that he plans to take his three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, to a shelter in the upcoming months. He stated, “I think they will definitely be exposed to it when I can balance it with their schooling. We talk about what we see on the way to school. When we were in London, driving back and forth, we regularly used to see people sitting outside supermarkets, and we discuss it. I would ask the kids, ‘Why are they here? What’s happening?’ I believe that exposing the children to the appropriate dialogue at the appropriate stage so that they can comprehend is in everyone’s best interest.”
