Camilla pushed king Charles to kick out prince Andrew from royal palace/ fear of exposing her secret

Friends reportedly claim that Prince Andrew wishes he had addressed the Royal Lodge dispute sooner. Andrew has been involved in a prolonged dispute with King Charles regarding his residence.

The Duke of York has been entangled in a drawn-out dispute with his brother, King Charles, over his home at Royal Lodge. Despite King Charles’s requests for over a year for Andrew to vacate the £30 million house in Windsor, the Duke is reportedly steadfast in refusing to move.

Royal expert Richard Kay asserts that friends have stated that Andrew wishes he had purchased a home while Queen Elizabeth was still alive. As the saga continues, it is well known that Andrew enjoyed additional leniency from the late Queen, who favored him more than he could expect under King Charles’s rule. According to Mr. Kay, who was quoted in the Mail, Andrew is “not by nature introspective,” but friends say one regret is that he failed to secure a property in his own name where he would have been untouchable while the Queen was alive.

Andrew is reported to have informed King Charles that he intends to stay in the £30 million manor for the full 55 years of the lease he signed 20 years ago, despite suggestions to relocate to the nearby Frogmore Cottage, which is currently vacant after being the home of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson have lived in the 31-room property on the 98-acre Windsor estate for more than 20 years under a 75-year lease.

Friends of Andrew affirm that he feels no obligation to leave the home because of his long-term lease. In an effort to facilitate Andrew’s departure, King Charles has reportedly taken the step of removing Andrew’s private security team. The King is said to have decided to end the 10-man security detail, which has been funded by Charles since Andrew’s official police protection was removed in 2022. The contract for the security team is expected to end in the fall, after which Andrew might be forced to leave the property.

A palace insider commented on the issue, saying, “It’s no secret that the King wants him out.” After reports that the Duke of York has become somewhat of a recluse, the insider told The Sun, “Everyone is speculating this means the Duke will have to leave the Royal Lodge because what other reason would there be to remove his security? They are working to the last months of their contract until the end of October. It’s not thought anyone is being arranged to replace them.”

On Monday, King Charles III and Queen Camilla arrived at Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Following tradition, they’ve invited members of the extended family to join them for picnics on the grounds, long hikes, and grouse hunting. According to the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden, Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson are the first guests to join the King and Queen, but they have one sticky subject to discuss: the concerns regarding their 31-room mansion in Windsor Great Park, Royal Lodge, which they have shared since 2003.
