Queen Camilla provided a positive update on King Charles’s condition as he continues cancer treatment during her visit to the Royal United Hospital in Bath, England, on September 3rd.

The queen made a rare comment about her husband’s health. She was there to open the brand new cutting-edge Dyson Cancer Center. During her visit to the McMillan Well-being Hub, Susie Moon of the McMillan Partnership questioned the queen about how King Charles was feeling.

The Royal United Hospital treats cancer for more than 500,000 people in Southwest England. The McMillan Well-being Hub is a non-clinical space designed to offer patients, their families, and caregivers emotional and practical support.

Elsewhere during the visit, the Imperial met patients and clinical staff in the Medlock Unit and William Budd Ward. During a conversation with Paul Holdway, a nurse and blood cancer patient undergoing stem cell treatment, it’s possible that Queen Camilla made a second reference to her husband.

The Mirror claims that Holdway responded, “I am feeling very tired,” when the queen inquired about his mood. The queen laughed and said, “Men won’t admit it.” According to the Mirror, the remark was made with a touch of humor.

With warmth, Queen Camilla occasionally speaks briefly about her husband’s health as he continues his cancer treatment. According to The Sun, she told author Lee Child on June 8th at Hampton Court Palace’s second annual Queen’s Reading Room Literary Festival that the king is doing fine except he won’t slow down and won’t do what he’s told.

In February, Buckingham Palace reported that the Sovereign was diagnosed with cancer following his treatment for a benign enlarged prostate in January. A representative explained that he doesn’t have prostate cancer.

The king, accompanied by Queen Camilla, resumed public-facing work on April 30th with a visit to a cancer center in London. The king had delayed public-facing duties for three months on the advice of a doctor but continued to work behind the scenes.

Although the University College Hospital McMillan Cancer Center, the location of the visit, has not been directly involved in the monarch’s medical care, one of the reasons King Charles announced his cancer diagnosis was to emphasize the significance of early detection. This decision was made to assist public understanding for all those affected by cancer.

According to a Buckingham Palace spokesperson, the monarch’s return to work was announced at the end of April. The palace said that the king’s treatment was ongoing and that his doctors were happy. His Highness’s treatment program will proceed; however, specialists are adequately satisfied with the progress made so far, and the ruler is currently ready to continue various public-facing duties. Upcoming commitments will be adjusted where necessary to limit any risks to His Highness’s continued recovery.

A Buckingham Palace representative stated, “It is too early to say, but His Majesty’s medical team is very encouraged by the progress made so far and remains optimistic about the king’s continued recovery.”

The king then packed a full summer schedule into his calendar. In June, he went to France to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings, and he appeared at Trooping the Colour in July. In August, he attended the State Opening of Parliament.
