Princess Charlotte SURPRISE SPOTTED With Dad William For Friends Birthday Party In London

We absolutely love it whenever the Royal Family does anything seemingly normal. Take, for example, the time the Wales were spotted tucking into burgers and fries at a local pub in Norfolk. This past weekend was no exception, as it saw Prince William drop little Princess Charlotte off at a pizza restaurant for a classmate’s birthday party. It was a pizza party—yeah, you heard right!

While Charlotte spent time there just like the other kids, her arrival was different, and she knows what being the daughter of a future king is like. In footage obtained by the Italian newspaper *Lampa*, the father-daughter duo can be seen entering the restaurant flanked by several security guards and greeting staff. Princess Charlotte showed off her confidence as she walked ahead of her father.

In a short CCTV clip, Prince William can be spotted wearing a casual maroon jumper and jeans, carrying a gift wrapped in pink paper. He is seen grinning and shaking hands with several members of staff as he drops off his only daughter. Meanwhile, Charlotte is in a dark-colored coat and tights with her hair tied in a low ponytail—super cute!

The Italian newspaper reported that three SUVs stopped in front of the venue in Fulham, and several bodyguards entered before Prince William and Princess Charlotte. It was said that the restaurant owner requested a selfie from Prince William, but he kindly declined, as royals are typically not permitted to take selfies. The prince then left his daughter to enjoy the party and was seen arriving back a few hours later to collect her—just normal dad things!

All of this wouldn’t be newsworthy at all if we didn’t expect the royals to have their nanny do all the stuff. It’s really nice that the Wales make a point to spend these everyday occasions with their kids.

The venue may have stirred up additional feelings for Prince William, as this restaurant was said to be his favorite from his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales. When she returned from her gymnastics sessions at a nearby gym, Lady Diana would often stop by with her bodyguards and order a margarita pizza with salami before heading home to eat it with her two children.

Princess Catherine previously revealed that her three children love pizza like their dad, Prince William. They also enjoy making Italian cuisine together. At the time, she confessed, “I’ve done that with George and Charlotte, making pizza dough. They love it because they can get their hands messy.”

It sounds as though the party invites might be a fairly common occurrence for the young royals, too, as part of school rules dictate that if anyone in Charlotte’s class is having a birthday bash, every child must attend so that nobody feels left out.

According to a source close to the Wales family, the princess’s school doesn’t encourage pupils to have best friends either, again to keep everyone on equal footing. There are signs everywhere saying “be kind”; that’s the ethos of the school. It really focuses on kindness, and the pastoral care is amazing.

What all of this means is that the royal children thankfully aren’t being raised exclusively on a diet of caviar and lobster. My peanut brain pictures when they hear “royal food”! William previously shared a little detail about how sassy six-year-old Charlotte has become during an engagement in the West Midlands. He said, “If you ask her, she’ll say, ‘I’m six now, I’ll do what I want!’ It’s like they grow up really fast.”
