Prince William teased a snapshot of a recording for an Earthshot Prize project which fans can’t wait to see.
Prince William has royal fans on the edge of their seats as he shared a teaser for a new filming project for his global environmental campaign – the Earthshot Prize.
Standing under a large black umbrella in the pouring rain in woodland, Prince William was pictured grinning as he rested the umbrella handle on his right shoulder.
Wearing a navy blue rain jacket, the Prince donned casual attire and also uploaded a secondary picture showing that cameras were focusing on Prince William delivering a message.
In a social media post, Prince William posted the two pictures with one caption: “Filming for a very special @EarthshotPrize project earlier today.” Accompanying the post was an emoji of an umbrella and rain.
Fans rushed to the social media platform X, to share their excitement. One wrote: “Can’t wait to watch this.”
The Prince stated he was filming for a ‘very special’ Earthshot Prize project.
Another said: “This is very exciting! I can’t wait to see what it is.”
A third, with an interest in the environmental projects noted: “Exciting look forward to seeing it! It’s for a fantastic cause, the ideas these incredible people come up with and put into practice are genius.”
Whereas one X user wrote: “Thank YOU Prince William for sharing and giving this great energy.”
The Earthshot Prize searches the globe for game-changing innovations that aim to repair the planet, and it awards the very best five solutions each year with £1 million to scale their work.
Founded by the Prince of Wales in 2010, it recognises innovative solutions to the world’s greatest environmental challenges. This year’s finalists were selected from nearly 2,500 nominations spanning 139 countries – the largest-ever nomination pool.

Earlier this week, the Prince of Wales, 42, announced the 15 finalists in the running to win a £1 million environmental award at the Earthshot Prize Awards.
In William’s video, he described the people on the shortlist for the prize as “leading the way in solving some of the most urgent environmental challenges”.
He explained: “The passion of these Finalists is a testament to what can be achieved when we tap into the enormous creativity, ingenuity, and optimism of communities around the world.”
