The Valley couple Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor are currently going through a divorce. Their separation hasn’t been an easy one, to say the very least. The recent paperwork error the two just went through is a testament to that. Read on to find out what happened.
Did Brittany Cartwright Shade Jax Taylor?
Multiple outlets were able to obtain court documents that Jax recently filled out for their divorce proceedings. However, only issue is that he filled them out incorrectly.
Based on the documents he submitted, the reality star claims that he and Brittany were never legally married.
E! News reshared the information with an IG post and Brittany instantly saw it as an opportunity to set the record straight and throw shade at her almost-former partner.
“We are legally married,” she quipped. “I’m guessing paperwork is hard for some people.”
Their on-camera wedding, in which they were legally married, was the event of the year back in 2019. Multiple celebrities were in attendance, including multiple Vanderpump Rules stars, and NSYNC singer Lance Bass was the officiant.
In fact, Lance commented under the social media post and as well as backed up Cartwright’s message.
“I can confirm this. Pastor Lance signed the papers,” Bass added.
While Jax himself hasn’t commented on his error, a rep did speak out on his behalf and state that the problems with his documents were going to be fixed right away.
Jax And Brittany’s Custody For Cruz
The topic of whether or not the couple have been married this whole time wasn’t the only question Jax’s paperwork brought up. Taylor also filled out major decisions when it comes to the custody of their son Cruz.
He agreed in the documents that he will be giving both full physical and full legal custody of Cruz to Brittany.
That would open the door for Cartwright to request child support from him. It also puts the ball in her court to decide when and if Cruz sees his dad post-divorce. However, none of this is set in stone; the divorce still has to be finalized.
It’s unclear if these decisions regarding Cruz are some of the errors that Jax’s rep said were going to be fixed, or if he is really is planning on giving up custody of Cruz.
Will Jax & Brittany Be In The Valley Season 2?
Even though they are going through a rollercoaster of a divorce, the two will be sharing the screen again. It’s already been confirmed that both Jax and Brittany will return for the second season of The Valley.
The season started filming right as their separation was announced to the public. Viewers will get to see how they managed the hard time of their relationship and what led to Brittany proceeding with the divorce.
It’s important to note that Jax will not be as involved in Season 2 as Brittany will be. Taylor admitted himself into a mental health facility over the summer, when the show was filming. He’s only going to be featured in the scenes filmed before and after his admittance.
