The Valley star, Jax Taylor has rekindled a relationship with an old friend during his divorce. He has had to watch from the sidelines as some of his co-stars have gone on with their lives. Luckily, someone came back and has been an amazing support system for him. Keep reading for all of the details.
Jax Taylor Rekindles With Old Friend During Divorce
It has not been an easy road for Jax Taylor since his wife of five years, Brittany Cartwright, filed for divorce. He had gone away for inpatient mental health treatment which some questioned. It was unclear why he was doing it and why over the summer during the filming of The Valley Season 2. Was it to save his marriage or to keep his job? He had been caught in a fight with co-star, Danny Booko, just days before checking himself in so anything was possible. When he exited, Jax did go back to filming but it was not the warmest welcome.
He was served with divorce papers on camera while at his bar, Jax’s Studio City. Plus, he and Brittany still had to film together. She did end up taking off for the cast trip, leaving him behind with their son, Cruz, 3. While all of this went on, Jax was also dealing with his diagnosis from treatment. He learned that he had Bipolar Disorder and PTSD which was quite a shock to his system. Day by day, he is managing his new life and someone from his past has been there by his side.
Tom Sandoval, who Jax Taylor cut ties with after Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules, has been a solid friend amid treatment and divorce. According to Reality Tea, the two are back on track and better than ever. Jax shared this on his When Reality Hits podcast:
“Now I probably talk to Tom three to four times a week. He comes to the bar, he sings karaoke, you know, he’s on tour right now, but I just hung out with him and his mom and his dad.”
The two had reconnected during Season 11 but it was still teetering. Yet, Jax felt they had a nice interaction:
“I had a really, really nice conversation with him. What he went through though was life-changing. We had a really good conversation.”
Stronger Than Ever
Tom Sandoval’s world came crashing down when it came out that he had cheated on Ariana Madix with Rachel Leviss. Now, Jax Taylor has lost his marriage and is actively dealing with his mental health. Never did he expect Sandoval would be holding his hand on this rollercoaster ride. He shared Sandoval checked in on him while he was in treatment. Now, things are only on the up and up:
“I love Tom, and I will always love him no matter what he does. He’s my best friend.”
This must be music to Tom Schwartz’s ears as he rode hard for Sandoval when everyone was kicking him. Plus, he has always been extremely close to Jax. Fortunately for him, the band is back together.
