‘Vanderpump Rules’ Rachel Leviss Tried Being Mormon, Why?

Vanderpump Rules alum Rachel Leviss revealed that she tried being Mormon but what made her decide to do so? Did she have a reason for exploring the Mormon Church and did someone lead her there? Keep reading to find out why she chose that avenue.

Vanderpump Rules Rachel Leviss Tried Being Mormon, Why?

Rachel Leviss has spent the last year and some months trying to heal from the trauma of her affair with Tom Sandoval. She entered a mental health facility right after the Season 10 Vanderpump Rules reunion. More so, she opted not to return for the next season. Production did try to work with her to come to an arrangement but it did not work. She seemed to want to get away from the drama and toxicity but did not do it all too well. Leviss went on Bethenny Frankel’s Just B podcast to spill her truth about the show.

She then revealed that she was starting her own podcast, Rachel Goes Rogue, where she talks about her time on the hit Bravo reality series. Leviss also throws the cast and production under the bus plus she recently sued Sandoval and his ex-girlfriend, Ariana Madix. Sandoval and Madix had been together for nearly a decade when he and Leviss started their affair. Now, according to People, the podcaster and former pageant girl is talking about religion and how she explored Mormonism.

She shared this on the latest episode of her podcast, explaining that, prior to the affair, she “didn’t have a relationship with my higher power.” Rather, Rachel Leviss used men as a way to give her answers but that did not work out so well. Yet, upon entering treatment, she started to explore her spirituality:

“One of the things that I discovered very early on once I checked myself into The Meadows [rehab facility] was this spirituality component that they were bringing into the therapy model.”

There was a chaplain who was extremely helpful and Rachel now goes to Church on a weekly basis:

“Since then, I have been integrating that spirituality into my everyday life, going to church on Sundays. I tried a Mormon church. My friend took me to a Mormon church.”

Finding Herself

Although it is unclear if the former Vanderpump Rules star felt a connection to Mormonism, she does like the spiritual community she has found. Rachel Leviss seems to have found a group of people who have aided her along the way:

“I have found a spiritual community out here now, and it just makes a world of a difference because these people are looking to something bigger than themselves.”

She has shared that she will no longer talk about Ariana Madix on her podcast. As to whether or not that is true is yet to be seen. Followers have said she should drop the lawsuit against her former friend and co-star if she really wants to make things right. Maybe this spiritual journey will help her in the long run but time will tell.
