Vanderpump Rules

Long Lines Continue at Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s Sandwich Shop

Fans continue to wait in long lines to get a taste of Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s “Something About Her” sandwich shop in West Hollywood at 640 N. Robertson Boulevard. The lines have not let up exactly a month after the sandwich shop officially opened to the general public on May 22.

Fans braved the heat on Saturday afternoon. One fan had been waiting for over an hour. She said she didn’t care that the stars of Lisa Vanderpump’s reality TV show Vanderpump Rules weren’t around to take her order. She told WeHo Times that she was there to taste the food and for the overall experience.

An employee revealed that the lines have been consistent since they first opened their doors. So far, this new business venture has been a hit for both women.

Something About Her offers an array of sandwiches named after famous women in film, each priced between $14 and $18. According to reports, the menu features generously portioned sandwiches served with a pickle spear and a bunch of grapes on an aluminum tray.

Among the standout sandwiches is The Meg, featuring Greek salad, tzatziki, feta, sun-dried tomatoes, and romaine lettuce on lavash, praised for its refreshing contrast of crisp greens and tangy tzatziki. The Diane, with Sicilian tuna salad on a somewhat tough baguette, requires effort to bite but is worth it. The Cameron, a hearty Italian sandwich loaded with pesto garlic aioli, salami, soppressata, mortadella, and roasted red peppers, challenges diners with its size. The Viola, a panini with smoked turkey and chipotle mayo on grilled sourdough, stands out for its spicy-rich flavor.

The pastry selection, though secondary to the sandwiches, includes commendable chocolate croissants, cookies, and muffins. The chocolate cookie is reminiscent of a crinkly brownie, while the croissants boast a golden-brown exterior.

The restaurant, which was previously home to Flower Burger, seats about 15 people. The Jon Hutman-designed interior is a blend of rom-com chic and the aesthetic of Stanford Blatch’s wedding from the second “Sex and the City” movie. The walls are adorned with decorative trellises, upholstered benches, and karate-chopped throw pillows in green and gray. Iron sconces cast a soft glow on white marble tables and mirrors. Paintings are arranged across the walls beneath arched sage trellises, creating a vibrant “granny-core” vibe.

“We are so grateful for the turnout today and all the support,” Madix told WEHO TIMES on the day of their grand opening. “Someone took a video earlier of all the people waiting in line, and it’s been like that all day. We didn’t think it would draw so many people. It’s been amazing.”

“It took us a while to open, but it is so worth it,” added Maloney. “We are so grateful for the turnout and for all the support.”

Something About Her is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday to Sunday.
