Rachel Leviss is open to the possibility of finding love, but she has new rules.

On Thursday, June 27, the Vanderpump Rules alum got candid about her love life on her Rachel Goes Rogue podcast and revealed why she believes she’s in a better place to pursue dating.

With summer in full swing, Leviss said she feels “ready to date” and has “gotten my life in order enough where I’m open to that.”

“I’m looking forward to it. I’m looking for someone who is safe and reliable and emotionally mature, emotionally stable, and someone who’s gonna treat me right,” she explained.

Though she hopes to manifest a “fun summer fling that could lead to something more serious,” Leviss revealed that she would like to date to “expand my own experience” and “learn more about myself.”

Now that she has a new approach to dating, the former reality star said that she has new rules when it comes to getting intimate with a potential suitor.

“I definitely wouldn’t sleep with someone on the third date, especially because I already have a reputation,” she added, referencing her past affair with former costar Tom Sandoval. “[I] don’t need people making assumptions about me being easy.”

During her two-month stay at a mental health facility when her affair with Sandoval made headlines, Leviss said that her therapists encouraged her “not to sleep with somebody” until they’ve been dating for “at least” two months.

“I tried this dating experience with the new person that approached me and asked me on a date. I intentionally wanted to take it slow,” she recalled, referencing her past tendencies to move fast with her romantic pursuits. She referred back to her ex-fiancé James Kennedy and how their relationship “turned into something more” after a “one night stand.”

“And then with Tom, it was like it was a secret relationship that I was thinking with my heart and not logically,” Leviss continued. “I wanted to have sex, and we did. So maybe it’s like a balancing act.”

While some may think waiting three months before sex “may be a little extreme,” she noted how practicing abstinence allowed her to get to know her date “on a deeper level” and added, “I do enjoy deep conversations.”

In April, Leviss was linked to businessman Matthew Dunn after her headline-making affair with Sandoval became public. At the time, her publicist told PEOPLE that their romance was still in its early stages.

“It’s a little too soon to jump to any labels,” her rep said. “They met a little over a month ago and are friends just getting to know each other. They met and are hanging out.”

The new relationship comes after the television personality opened up about her decision to take a break from dating amid the fallout of Scandoval.

“I’m not dating for a year, and in doing that, I’m just focusing on myself and after this talk, focusing on my emotions that come up for me, like what are my own needs that I need met, and not adding an additional person into the equation, so that it is just focused on me and other people as well my friends and family and the people that are in my inner circle that are safe friends,” she shared on an episode of her Rachel Goes Rogue podcast in January.
