Vanderpump Rules star and Love Island USA host Ariana Madix is defending concerns about her relationship. She has been seeing Daniel Wai since the spring of 2023 but her co-stars and family were worried about her rushing in so soon. Vanderpump Rules Ariana Madix Defends Concerns About Her Relationship
Right after ‘Scandoval’ broke, Ariana Madix was shattered. She trusted her longtime boyfriend, Tom Sandoval as they had been good friends before even starting a relationship. More so, the duo had been together for nearly a decade. They also owned a home together so she never imagined he’d have an affair with her best friend, Rachel Leviss. Yes, he had been unfaithful in the past but this was next level and she was shattered. Luckily, Ariana had a wedding to attend in the midst of all of this drama.
There, she met Daniel Wai and they clicked. Nothing happened romantically, plus she lived in California and he was based in NYC. Yet, they started a long-distance friendship which evolved into romance. When Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules began, co-star Lala Kent expressed her concern about Daniel. Many people noted how fast Ariana moved on but she said that it was a slow progression. He finally made an appearance at the end of the season and Lala continued to say harsh things about him.
Even Ariana’s estranged brother and Scheana Shay were skeptical of him but she had her own answer for the naysayers. According to Bravo, Ariana Madix had this to say about a possible failed romance:
“Here’s the thing, he could literally turn out to be, which he’s not, a f-cking con artist. And guess what? I’ll be fine. I’ll take care of myself regardless.”
Ultimately, she shared how he was immensely supportive of her despite the fact that her career took off amid ‘Scandoval.’ She landed DWTS, endorsement deals, and a role in Chicago on Broadway that ended up getting extended. Ariana will reprise this role in August for one month as she was in such high demand.
It All Worked Out Just Fine
Despite Vanderpump Rules co-stars being scared for Ariana Madix and Daniel Wai, things have worked out just fine. When she was on DWTS, he would fly in from NYC to watch her dance and then return home. More so, when she was in NYC for Chicago, they did not live together but he was at many of her performances. Finally, he has been in Fiji while she films Love Island USA. So, this might be the real thing and even if it’s not, she has learned what it is like to have someone truly love and support her.
