Vanderpump Rules

Ariana Madix and James Kennedy weigh in on Vanderpump Rules future amid Season 12 delay

What’s next for Ariana Madix? As it turns out, the Vanderpump Rules reality TV star doesn’t have much to say about the future of the show. Ariana made a name for herself in the pop culture world as one of the most talked-about cast members in the lineup. Now, she’s landed a permanent position as the host of Love Island USA. But, does that mean her time in starring Vanderpump Rules are done for good? Here’s what you should know.

Ariana Madix Is Unaware Of What The Future Holds

When asked about what fans can expect with Vanderpump Rules by E! News, Ariana responded with a short and simple, “I don’t know.” She went on to say, “I haven’t been in touch with Lala at all. Scheana and I talk every once in a while. I love to see her doing well and I think she’s also in the same boat as me.” The outlet asked her if the rest of the cast is done filming Vanderpump Rules as well. Ariana responded, “I don’t talk to any of them. So you’d have to ask them.”

Scheana Shay isn’t the only Vanderpump Rules star Ariana still talks to, though. She further explained, “I talked to Katie all the time. I don’t know how she feels. We’ve just been focused on our business.” The Katie she’s referring to is Katie Maloney, who’s been part of Vanderpump Rules since it first premiered in 2013.

Many fans would argue that if Vanderpump Rules ended, it will be the end of a dynasty. People have been turning to this particular show for reality TV entertainment for more than two decades. It has been compared to other binge-worthy shows like The Kardashians, The Real Housewives franchise, and Southern Charm.

Will Vanderpump Rules Get Canceled?

If it weren’t for Vanderpump Rules, who knows if Ariana would have had the opportunity to land her position as Love Island USA‘s host. This new role is perfect for her since she already has an impressive social media following backing her up. Every IG post she shares to promote her new role pulls in thousands of likes and comments.

Whether Ariana decides to stick with Vanderpump Rules or not, the good news for reality TV lovers is at the show isn’t actually ending. Showrunner Alex Baskin spoke to The Hollywood Reporter in May saying:

“You see there is still a lot of fertile ground and developments… so I think it would be very premature that just because we really close the book on Scandoval in a lot of ways, because it was this moment that sort of blew up everything and that extended into the next season, does not mean necessarily that the show is over.”

Scandoval did a couple of things for Vanderpump Rules, including taking the show to a whole new level of fandom.

However, Tom Sandoval cheating on Ariana with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss also fractured the friend group to the point of no return.

Season 11 proved that the cast is divided, with things going from bad to worse between many after the reunion.

Vanderpump Rules has been put on pause with filming not happening this summer per usual.

Now, amid rumors, the show will get a reboot with a new crop of SUR employees; Ariana and James are speaking out.

Ariana Madix addresses Vanderpump Rules’ future

The Love Island USA host was asked about Season 12 of Vanderpump Rules the other day while she was hosting DIRECTV Gets Real, presented by People and Entertainment Weekly.

“I don’t know,” she told E! News about whether the show was coming back.

Ariana didn’t even reveal if she would return if the show did get a Season 12. However, she admitted she only keeps in touch with Katie Maloney and Scheana Shay.

Since the last season wrapped, Ariana has been vague about her Vanderpump Rules future. It wouldn’t be a surprise if she moved on, especially as she remains booked and busy.

Along with her Something About Her sandwich shop with Katie, Ariana just wrapped up her second time on Broadway as Roxie Hart in Chicago, and she killed it this summer as Love Island USA host.

The blonde bombshell wasn’t the only Vanderpump Rules star to speak out amid the Season 12 delay recently.

James Kennedy shuts down Vanderpump Rules reboot rumors

As Monsters and Critics previously reported, James clapped back at claims that Vanderpump Rules was out with the old and in with the new.

The DJ just doubled down on the claims while giving fans hope that the show wasn’t done. This week at the IHeartRadio, James weighed in on Vanderpump Rules.

“It’s Vanderpump Rules. It’s a legendary show, so I don’t expect it to be over yet,” he told Us Weekly.

James didn’t give any insight into if talks are happening about Season 12, which means more waiting for news about the show’s future.

The Valley Season 2 just wrapped, with Scheanna and Lala Kent taking a more active role. Perhaps now that The Valley has filmed, we will get an update on Vanderpump Rules, but things look grim for the show as we know it.
