Prince William turned 42 today and what does one get for the man who has everything? TikTok user windspncer created a reel celebrating William — then and now — set to the tune of Alphaville’s pop song “Forever Young.”

No matter what your status in life is, say, for example, heir to the throne, heading into middle age can be difficult, so we have a feeling William might like being referred to as “forever young.”

The clip kicks off with footage of William on the red carpet donning a tuxedo, looking James Bond-esque at the BAFTAs, and then in a blink and you miss it moment, the viewer is transported back to William’s teen heartthrob years.

The video went up on June 2, kicking off William’s birthday month, and has amassed over 40,000 views and has 83.4K likes.

The video is captioned: “I want to be forever young”

The then and now shows William’s transformation from adolescence to adulthood, incorporating clips of William greeting the public, spending time with family and playing with his little brother Prince Harry.

The two are seen walking and skipping rocks on the water.

Fans turned to the comments section to give praise, with one user writing: “He looks like his mother.”

It seems like a lot of the TikTokkers are crushing on William, writing notes like, “MY BAE” and “My man.”

One fan laid it down, saying: “He is still handsome and that’s a fact.”

Just the other day, William was being referred to as a heartthrob all over again, when arriving to Trooping the Colour on horseback, donning a tall bearskin hat as part of his uniform.

Possibly that’s the trick to staying forever young, not changing all that much as a person, William was recognized as a kind and endearing young man and he seems to have carried those traits with him into his marriage and fatherhood.
