Tom Schwartz is giving a new look into his relationship with Sophia Skoro.
The Vanderpump Rules cast member appeared on the Taste of Taylor podcast on June 13 and revealed that while he finds his girlfriend to be both “awesome” and “badass,” he’s trying to keep their relationship “a little more close to the chest” after having such a public one with his ex-wife and VPR cast member, Katie Maloney.
“I’m also terrified of scaring her away, because there’s been a lot of negative headlines with my name attached to it,” Schwartz said. “I’ve got baggage.”
But, Tom knows that Sophia could hold her own, due to her personality. “She’s like, unflappable,” he explained.
Is Sophia Skoro a fan of Vanderpump Rules?
Although Schwartz has appeared on all 11 seasons of VPR, he said in his recent podcast appearance that Sophia was not a fan of the show before she met him. “She’s not a fan girl, because I saw that on the internet,” Tom said.
The two of them just happened to meet “on a whim” while Sophia was celebrating a friend’s birthday at TomTom. During a joint appearance on The Viall Files in April, Sophia elaborated on their first meeting in the summer of 2023. “I was like, ‘He’s looking hot,’ so I just told him,” Sophia said on the podcast. “I simply just told him, and that was it.”
While she might not be a fan of VPR, there is a chance she could appear on it. During a May appearance on the Billie & The Kid podcast, Tom said that he’s just a little apprehensive about putting Sophia on the show. “I think anyone with a lick of sense would be wary,” he said. “It’s a lot.”

In spite of being together for quite some time, Tom and Sophia said during their appearance on The Viall Files that they have not made things official. After all, they’re just “hangin'” right now, as he put it on the Taste of Taylor podcast.
“I just want to be in the most perfect place,” Sophia said. “I like to be very, at ease.”
Although they are not boyfriend and girlfriend yet, they have thrown the “L word” around. “We definitely love each other, Sophia said, to which Tom replied, “Love you.”
